They will be much further out from the pins on an L2501, and I don't believe that it is advisable.The L2501 FEL lifting capacity is not impressive. Kubota makes a good, solid tractor, but without dual hydraulics, you're going to be limited with front lift. I have same pallet forks, which are capable of lifting FAR more than your tractor specs. I sold my Kubota L2800 because of FEL limitation, but otherwise was a great tractor..
