I have never had a problem adapting to the rubber finger grove grips on my 686's. For wood grips "cokes" are my preference for shooting. S&W 686-0 grip dilemma. I love to shoot my 686-0, sweet trigger, accurate to the 9's. My dilemma is the stock wood grips. They are great looking but as shown in pix my right thumb does not conform to the grip causing some discomfort.
